Terms for Your Village and Helper Circles

These supplemental terms explain how non-commercial neighborhood help and private Helper Circles work on Kraam.

1. Kraam's role

Kraam only provides the technical contact and organization platform. Kraam does not select helpers, supervise help, or become a party to an arrangement between a family and a helper.

A profile, identity check, or recorded inspection is not a guarantee of reliability, suitability, or safety. Both sides decide independently whether and how to meet.

2. Non-commercial, non-professional help

Your Village is solely for voluntary, non-commercial everyday help between neighbors. Whether and how you show appreciation is arranged privately between you — Kraam isn't involved and doesn't process prices, bookings, payments, invoices, insurance claims, or employment relationships for this help.

Village Helpers must not offer medical, nursing, therapeutic, or other regulated services. In case of symptoms, immediate danger, or an emergency, contact qualified care or emergency services on 112.

3. Safety and childcare

Meet first in a safe place, tell a trusted person, and share sensitive contact or address details only when you feel safe. Harassment, discrimination, violence, fraud, and any risk to children are prohibited and must be reported through the reporting tool.

Childcare may be offered and matched only while Kraam marks the helper's identity and recorded inspection as current. The family remains responsible for selection, arrangements, supervision scope, emergency contacts, and a safe handover.

4. Visibility and privacy

A published family request shows approved Village Helpers within the search radius only a shortened name, city, selected help categories, approximate distance, and age of the request. Postal code, exact coordinates, street, health information, and free-form family messages are not shown before a connection.

A Helper Circle is not publicly listed, but is protected by a secret sharing link. Anyone with the link can see its title, dates, and entered first names and can claim a slot. Share it only with your private circle and regenerate or archive it if it is disclosed unintentionally.

Data is deleted or anonymized under the published retention periods. Account deletion immediately revokes active requests, connections, and Helper Circle links. The privacy notice explains further rights.

5. User responsibilities

Information must be accurate, current, and limited to what is needed. Do not publish exact addresses, health data, children's data, or contact details in profiles or requests. Do not publish account credentials or sharing links.

The platform must not be used for advertising, commercial brokering, paid work, spam, scraping, profiling, evading restrictions, or unlawful purposes.

6. Reporting, restriction, and ending use

Users can report requests and connections, close contacts, and pause their own visibility. Kraam may hide content, close connections, deactivate childcare offers, and temporarily or permanently restrict accounts where needed to protect people or the platform.

Families can archive requests and Helper Circles at any time. Use of Your Village can be ended at any time without charge.

7. Liability and availability

Kraam does not guarantee a suitable helper or completion of an agreed slot. Participants are responsible for their conduct and arrangements made outside the platform to the extent permitted by law.

Mandatory statutory liability, including for intent, gross negligence, and injury to life, body, or health, remains unaffected.

8. Contact and applicable documents

The general terms, privacy notice, and community guidelines also apply. If they conflict, these specific Your Village and Helper Circle terms take priority for these features.

Questions, privacy requests, or safety reports can be sent to hello@kraam.de or datenschutz@kraam.de.
